HELIPORT Search in the Browser

HELIPORT implements the OpenSearch specification. This means, you can access HELIPORT’s search functionality directly from your browser.

In Firefox

To set up the search in Firefox, navigate to your HELIPORT instance. Then, right-click the address bar and select ‘Add “HELIPORT Search”’. Afterwards, you can navigate to about:preferences#search and add a search keyword such as @heliport. This allows you to search HELIPORT by typing @heliport followed by your search terms into the address bar of your browser.

In Chromium

To set up the search in Chromium, navigate to your HELIPORT instance. Then, right-click the address bar and select “Manage search engines and site search”. In the new tab opened by Chromium, scroll to the bottom, and under “Inactive shortcuts” click “Activate” next to the “HELIPORT” entry. You can then add the shortcut @heliport. This allows you to search HELIPORT by typing @heliport followed by your search terms into the address bar of your browser.
